Elizabeth died in 1956. She was the mother of Rev. Charles H. Davis, a pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church. Chester passed away in Upper Darby 2 years later. The land was then given to their daughter Dorothy and son Charles. It went on auction despite Florence Golds' tenancy.
By 1966, John & Doris Croff resided in the house, perhaps the purchasers from the auction. Croff was a fireman & suffered an injury in 1969 when he fell through the roof of Manoa Shopping Center in Havertown when fighting a fire there.

Delaware County Daily Times, May 21st, 1969, page 1.
Doris Croff is still listed as a resident in 1976 in her father William Metzfield's obituary. The house was put on sale by her in 1978 for $69,000 and was still on sale until December 1979, when it sold to John Connell for $62,000. It was sold in by John 2002 for $300,000.
